The Beautiful Butterfly
You begin your life crawling in the dirt
So insignificant and nothing special atall.
Most of you are even poisonous,
Carrying venum that makes you dangerous
You start out your journey struggling to survive,
being called a pest as you eat your way through the foods you can find
You live out in the wild and on trees,
being hunted by predators who won't be so kind.
When you are ready and it is time
You wrap yourself up all warm and tight
you find comfort and safety in your new shell,
as your closed off from the whole world around you.
You spend many days and nights in your cocoon
all warm and cozy in your safe place
It's hard to know when it's time to break free
spread your wings, be vulnerable and joint the race
When you finally decide to hatch
a beautiful creacher wiggles its way out
as those wings open out so wide
the amazing freedom comes when you can fly so high
Your beauty is now beyond belief
Your a magnificent creature flying so free
beautiful colors so vibrant
shining so bright
in the spot light now for all to see.
You started out in the dirt struggling to survive
bur after your preparation period being locked away inside
you broke free to become the perfect wonder you are today
Living out your destiny each and every day
